“Sure it’s a big job; but I don’t know anyone who can do it better than I can.”
– John F. Kennedy
I went to law school because I wanted to view the world in a different light. Lawyers can think differently; they can look through layers of details and spot the issues and respond appropriately.
So, while I always wanted to be a lawyer, it wasn’t until I watched a family member get arrested and charged with a crime that I figured out what kind of lawyer I wanted to be. I watched this family member hire a lawyer who didn’t care about his case. I watched what this did to my family member. The uncertainty. The fear. Then, I watched what happened when a different lawyer was hired who genuinely cared about my family member’s case. The compassion. The guidance. The advocacy. The ultimate outcome that was much more favorable to my family member. I saw the difference a lawyer can make in a case.
I saw just how much relief can come when a person knows they have strong legal representation. Today, I strive to give that same strong representation to my clients. I strive to listen and treat them with nothing short of full respect and compassion. Then, it is my job to turn around and go and fight like hell. That is what my family member deserved, and with me, that is what my clients get.
Prior to being admitted to the Connecticut Bar, I worked as a paralegal in various areas of law including criminal, family, and real estate. During law school, I represented clients through the Immigration Law Clinic, and received an award for earning the highest grade on my International Law class.
When I am not representing clients, I am passionate about my family, animals, and the Peaky Blinders.
