At a very young age, I learned that I loved helping others. I also grew up very aware of and troubled by the social injustices that surrounded me. I began my legal career as a public defender because I had an innate desire to help those who society had largely abandoned. I believe that everybody deserves to have somebody by their side and that there is something powerful about standing with someone in their darkest moment.
Every day, I wake up thrilled that I have the privilege of being a criminal defense attorney, and I take great pride in providing my clients with thoughtful and diligent legal representation. I have the unique privilege of using my knowledge and experience to guide my clients through some of the most challenging situations.
I defend people because without good, competent defense attorneys, our Constitution has no value. While preserving our constitutional rights is a large motivator for what I do, what I love the most about my job is making a huge impact in the lives of others. As my clients’ advocate, I am on their side no matter what. I do everything in my power to understand their story and try my best to help in their moment of need.
When I’m not busy fighting for my clients, you can often find me reading a good book, or boating with my husband and our dog, Penny. I also enjoy spending time in my hometown of Miami, Florida with family and close friends.
